12 x 12 in / 30.5 x 30.5cm encaustic painting on cradled birch panel.  Encaustic art is made from bees wax painted onto the wood and then created using a blow torch, it is a very old method of painting, a coat of shellac  then added and then heated with a blow torch to create the design.  For me this piece is very much like looking down into the sea but of cource abstract art is there for the viewer to decide what they see.  The mystery of abstraction.
